Can anyone suggest a reliable outsourcing company in the Philippines.? - I'm looking to develop a web application.
YAPPERS: What is your opinion on the future economy of the Philippines? - When I look at the Philippines I really don't see much of a sound economy. A large percentage of GDP comes from foreign remittances, however, with a global recession remittances to the Philippines should be less and less. The Philippines fastest growing industry seems to be its call center industry. But that really is more of a service rather than a produced good. And most of these call center positions cater to US consumers. I don't think that the industry will thrive now that the US is a bankrupt country suffering through a sever recession (entering a depression). I think that economies like China, Japan, Korea, Australia all have the potential to grow in the future because they produce goods and Australia is a commodity based economy. However, I don't know what industry would lift the Philippines in the future. It seems as though the economy is dependent on foreign countries outsourcing services to the Philippines and foreign remittances. Anyways, enough with my rambling...... What is your opinion on the future economy of the Philippines?
Dave... I'm guessing that you work in the Financial Industry or are involed in the Business world somehow. You sound light years ahead of some people.

Illegal Immigration a problem or what?Local newspaper Editorial? - Immigration a problem or what?
http://www.southidahopress.com/articles/2008/01/17/editorials/austin.txt I do'nt think that this person has been on Yahoo Answers or other places online that are against the illegals and knows how angry US citizens are over this!! The solution to the illegal inerrant issue falls into at least 4 areas: 1) We have to stabilize the illegal population by bringing illegal border crossings to a halt. 2) We have to be realistic enough to recognize that if we could wave a magic wand and all the illegals here were to disappear in a clap of thunder, the economy of the U.S. would crash, which means that if we want a continuing robust economy, most of the illegal entrants need to stay. 3) We need a believable program that ensures that when Joe Slanthead’s visa expires, Joe Slanthead goes back to wherever he came from. Most people do not realize it but half of the illegal residents in the U.S. entered this country legally. In fact, of the 11.5 million illegals who lived in the U.S. in 2005 (my most recent numbers) 50 percent came here legally. They never left after their visas expired. Our friendly Federal Government has done nothing about this situation. 4) Recognizing that illegal residents, however they got here, are a vital part of our economy, then instead of persecuting them in hopes they will get discouraged and leave or blindly destroying families by having roundups and shipping off husbands in some cases and wives in other cases, it would make good sense to set up a simple inexpensive process by which those already here and contributing to our economy can become citizens. All sorts of people will yip and yap that this is wrong, they are criminals, we must make them pay, we must get rid of them. Well tell me, how did your family get here and when? How much did they pay? When did your grandma or great-grandma learn to speak English or did she? The blind hatred of immigrant groups is nothing new. It has not been very long since the last of the “no Irish need apply” signs were taken down. As a youngster I can recall “whites only” signs at the local swimming pool. No, this was not about Negoes; it was to keep Mexicans out. The Chinese who built our transcontinental railroads were viciously persecuted. We have Manzanar and Hunt camp and the like to remind us how public hysteria regarding an ethnic group can lead to great injustice. Stopping illegal border crossings is essentially an empty act if there is no effort made to have people leave when their visa expires. As a really nasty corollary, we now see Homeland Security trying to force a national identity card on us in the form of a Federally approved drivers license. My gosh guys, if you can not stop the forgery of passports and currency, what makes you think these new identity cards will not be forged by the truckload by foreign governments, just like some countries have done with the $100 bill in the past few years. It is to be hoped that the immigration issue can be solved with both compassion and common sense, and in a way that will not disrupt the economy. People shout and spout that illegals we stealing our jobs yet these same people are perfectly happy to see jobs that were filled by hard working, skilled and educated citizens outsourced to places like India and the Philippines. What makes outsourcing a good idea while accepting illegal immigrants into our society a bad idea? What makes cutting our civil liberty through the issuance of national identity cards such a hot idea? Idaho should tell Homeland Security where they can put their national identity cards! Carl F. Austin is a Goose Creek rancher, geothermal explorationist and a lot of other things.
